English Breakfast is one of the school programs for students. This program is expected to be able to stimulate the students to speak English in a fun time. We focus the program in communicative English. In this program we can learn Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. However, we present it in a different style of learning.

In Listening, We try to practice English intonation, voice and pronunciation through listening music and dialogue. We perform it by loud speaker/sound system and out of class, to make the students relax and enjoy their work. In Speaking activities, the students must communicate to others, schoolmates and teachers by doing conversation Games, Interviews people, and so on. By doing these methods we hope they enjoy talking and communicating with others without forcing. In Reading actions, the students should understand and comprehend the reading passages and tell them to others in game actions. In writing action, the students try to write sentences or texts by continuing sentences, sentences marathon game, etc. these activities are constructed to make students try and keep trying to write in different atmosphere.

All activities are done by the school of SMPM 12 GKB Gresik to stimulate the students to be familiar to speak English in school area. The activity is performed in the school area in the early morning, at the breakfast time that is why we call it “ English Breakfast”. We do the breakfast on Fridays only before doing sport. so in the day the students can refresh not only their brain but also their body.

By doing this program, students always use their English communicative ability with school mates and teacher without afraid of mistakes. So it makes familiar for them to use their English freely.
